Last weekend I was travelling to Launceston, North of Tasmania. That's the second biggest city on this island which is also a state in Australia. Everyone in Victoria had his Friday off. For the first time there was a national holiday for the Australian Football Grand Final ! What an amazing game between Hawthorn from Melbourne VS the Western Eagles from Perth.
Launceston :
Launceston is a very hilly city. It goes up and down all the time. The place is surrounded by forests and bush. There are lots of shops and cafés, factories, nice streets... It's pretty quiet and more relax than Melbourne or Sydney.
This weekend was a funny party one with Jack, an exchange mate who was living with us in France a few years ago. Good weather, good people, hips of fun, definitely a good weekend !
Cataract Gorge :
Here are some pictures of my only one cultural activity of the weekend : Cataract Gorge. Very close to the city it's only 2km far from the center. There is a nice walk to do around the basin.
